Valued for its heat and drought tolerance, this tropical perennial bears an abundance of charming flowers that makes a colorful display in landscape beds, combination pots or window boxes. Prefers moist, well-drained fertile soil.

Vibrant flower clusters attract butterflies. Striking in gardens and containers, where plants can easily be trimmed to shape. Excellent drought and heat tolerance, and resistant to deer browsing. Vigorous where hardy; may be wintered indoors where not hardy. Prune lightly in mid- to late spring.

Lush foliage and beautiful flowers are lovely at garden or woodland edges, in rock gardens or even indoors as a houseplant. An outstanding ground cover, it will even perform in dry shade. Cut back in early spring to promote new growth.
