Medium to large white bulbs of sweet, mild flesh. Does not keep well. Easy to grow, adapts well to the home garden and occupies little space. Use fresh or cooked to flavor meat, salad and vegetable dishes. Harvest when greens have toppled. Moist, sandy soil is best; heavy soil prevents adequate development.
