Hummingbirds are drawn to the dainty flowers offset by bold, richly colored foliage. Gorgeous next to lady's mantle, delicate woodland ferns, or wide silvery-blue hosta leaves. The strong, straight stems are ideal in cut flower arrangements. Mulch lightly in winter to protect shallow roots. Prefers average, moist well-drained soil.

Lush foliage and beautiful flowers are lovely at garden or woodland edges, in rock gardens or even indoors as a houseplant. An outstanding ground cover, it will even perform in dry shade. Cut back in early spring to promote new growth.
